Ziggy Competed in the 2012 Gypsy Horse World Show and WON!
We are so proud of our boy! We left the show with 5th place in Section A Senior Stallions (out of 6), 3rd place in Broken Color Stallions/Geldings (out of 6), 3rd place in Working Hunter (out of 8), and 1st place in Trail Riding!!! (the largest performance class of the show!) We also got Reserve Horse in Open English Pleasure WTC and Open Western Pleasure WTL.
Ziggy is our traditional Gypsy stallion. He is "bred in the blue" and you will have a hard time finding better bloodlines in a stallion. Ziggy is sired by the one and only "Legend Boy" (RIP) (by "The Old Black Horse," by "The Coal Horse": out of "The Mushy Mare"), and is out of the good mare "Splash CR" (by "The Producer," by "Road Sweeper": out of the Vines bred mare called "The Ace Mare"). Ziggy stands 14 hands and has outstanding conformation, wonderful movement, awesome disposition, and nice silky feather. He has a great topline with an archy neck trying into a sloping shoulder, short back, and well muscled haunches. Ziggy has one of the most attractive heads I have seen on any breed of horse. He has nice action, and he often paces when he walks, which is a rare trait in the breed! Ziggy has a really pretty, silky mane and an incredibly thick tail. Ziggy's feather is the wonderfully silky kind that is so sought after, and he has plenty of it too. Under all that feather are Ziggy's amazing hooves. You won't find better feet on a horse. And true to the gypsy breed, Ziggy has a wonderful disposition.
Ziggy has been retired from standing at public stud. We would like to thank all the mare owners who have chosen Ziggy for their mares over the years! We still plan to use him in our own breeding program, so we may have some babies from him available in the future.
